The Bois Cany shopping center, located on rue du Bois Cany in Grand-Quevilly, has been part of the commercial landscape of the Rouen metropolitan area for a long time. Finding the updated list of its stores can become a real puzzle: with names changing from one directory to another and sometimes outdated listings, it’s better to know where to look before heading out.
Bois Cany, Centre Sud 3 or Val d’Yerres 2: why the names vary by site
Have you ever typed “Bois Cany Grand Quevilly” into a search engine and received results mentioning “Centre Sud 3” or even “Val d’Yerres 2”? This is not an error on your part. Several names coexist to refer to the same commercial site, depending on the database used by each directory.
Bonial, for example, lists certain shops under the name “Centre Commercial Val d’Yerres 2” with the address rue du Bois Cany. Other platforms like Mappy or Sitedesmarques use “Centre commercial du Bois Cany”. The name “Commercial Sud 3 (Bois Cany)” also appears in the listings of some stores like Centrakor.
This confusion has a direct consequence: search results do not all return the same stores. One directory may display a store that has been closed for months, while another omits a store that is actually open. To create a reliable overview, cross-referencing multiple sources remains the safest method. Consulting the stores of the Bois Cany shopping center on a dedicated guide already helps to verify the information.
Stores of the Bois Cany shopping center: what is confirmed today
The available data allows for the identification of several businesses and services associated with the site. Here are the represented categories:
- Home and decoration: Centrakor is clearly identified at the Bois Cany site, with a focus on home, DIY, and gardening. The store has a dedicated contact number to verify hours.
- Everyday services: 5àSec (dry cleaning) is listed at the Bois Cany shopping center on several directories, suggesting a permanent presence.
- Beauty and care: an address linked to a beauty clinic appears in the Tiendeo results, located at the Bois Cany shopping center. This type of business complements the offering beyond food and clothing.
This list is not exhaustive. The site likely hosts other stores whose online listings do not explicitly mention “Bois Cany” in their address. This is precisely the problem posed by the multiplicity of names: some businesses are listed under “Centre Sud 3” without the link to Bois Cany being obvious to the internet user.
Grand-Quevilly: a broader commercial fabric around Bois Cany
Grand-Quevilly is not limited to this single center. The municipality hosts national brands along boulevard Pierre Brossolette (restaurants, auto supplies, optics) and in other nearby commercial areas. Gémo, Norauto, Atol, and Courtepaille are present according to Mappy data.
This means that a trip to Bois Cany can be combined with other shopping nearby. The neighborhood concentrates several commercial hubs within a few minutes’ drive, which remains an asset for the residents of the Rouen metropolitan area.
Check store hours and availability before heading out
The classic trap: relying on a single directory and finding a closed door upon arrival. Why this discrepancy? Platforms like Mappy, Bonial, or Sitedesmarques do not update their data in real-time. A business can close or change its hours without the online listing being modified for weeks.
Some reflexes can help avoid unnecessary trips:
- Call the business directly. Centrakor, for example, has a reachable number. A thirty-second call is better than a wasted trip.
- Check the Google Maps listing of the business (and not the shopping center). Recent reviews and photos posted by visitors provide a reliable indication of actual activity.
- Consult the official page of the brand on its own website. Most national chains offer a store locator that indicates hours by location, including exceptional closures.
- Cross-reference at least two sources. If one directory indicates “open” but there are no recent reviews and the phone number does not answer, caution is warranted.
The case of stores disappearing from directories without notice
Some shops cease their activity without directories removing their listings. Brands that have disappeared for several years sometimes still have indexed pages on directory platforms, which misleads internet users.
A directory listing is not proof of being open. It indicates that a business was listed at that address at some point. The date of the last update, when displayed, provides a clue about the reliability of the information.
Bois Cany shopping center and choice of businesses in Grand-Quevilly: what to remember
Bois Cany offers a core of businesses and services useful for daily life, from decoration to dry cleaning to beauty. Its offering remains modest compared to the large commercial areas of the Rouen metropolitan area, but it meets local needs.
The real point of vigilance concerns the reliability of online information. Three different names for the same place, listings that are never updated, ghost stores that persist in search results: the reflex of direct verification remains the only reliable way to know what is actually open before hitting the road.
